Early Learning Matters Event 2026
Yesterday, we proudly celebrated Early Learning Matters, and we would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended, supported, volunteered, and donated to make the day such a wonderful success.
The event was made even more special by the incredible support of our community. Thank you to the Old Bar Public School Cultural Dance Group for opening our celebration with their beautiful cultural dancing. We are also deeply grateful to Uncle Mick for sharing a heartfelt Welcome to Country and for joining us to cut the celebration cake.
A sincere thank you to Jeremy Miller for his kind words of support, and to Shannon, our local Early Childhood Australia (ECA) representative, for helping us celebrate the importance of early learning. Thank you also to Danielle and Eva for sharing the beautiful recording of Jay singing the Australian National Anthem in Gathang (Biripi) language.
To our Committee, thank you for generously volunteering your time in so many ways throughout the day. Your hard work, along with the fantastic raffle you organised, was greatly appreciated. We are incredibly grateful to all of our generous local businesses who donated such wonderful prizes. Congratulations to all of our lucky raffle winners!
A big thank you to the Old Bar Men's Shed for cooking the delicious barbecue. Your laughter, smiles, and community spirit were enjoyed by everyone.
Most importantly, seeing the children smiling, laughing, playing, and enjoying themselves throughout the day reminded us exactly why early learning matters.
As a community preschool, we truly appreciate the incredible support we receive from our families and the wider community. Thank you for helping us celebrate the vital role that early childhood education plays and for recognising the dedication of our educators and staff, who work every day to provide children with the very best start in life.
Play is learning, it matters, we matter!
